FOUR ATTRIBUTES OF LOVE

Attribute: A quality, character or characteristic ascribed to someone or thing.

1 John 4:7-11 (NKJV)

1. Love is of God – NOT the world.
   1 John 3:1 – “What manner of love…”
2. Must be born of God & know God to love.
3. God IS love (not has love).
   • 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (16 character traits)
   • Vs 6 – “does not rejoice in iniquity” “rejoices in the truth”
   • John 17:20-23 (NKJV)
4. Revelation of the cross.
   • Propitiation = Satisfaction
   • Love based on His character not my conduct.
