MATTHEW 6:22-24 (KJV)

Everything good or bad starts in the heart. – Matthew 12:35 / Matthew 15:19

Example: Lust leads to adultery. (Matt. 5:28)

Example: Anger & hate lead to murder. (Matt. 5:22 / 1 Jn. 3:15)

ONE THING

Jesus in Luke 10:38-42: “One thing is needful…” Paul in Philippians 3:13-14: “One thing I do…” The pure in heart seek God & His Kingdom first. The pure in heart are loyal to Jesus. (Rev. 2:4)

• –  Single-minded; singleness of focus and purpose.
• –  Ex.: 100% Orange juice.

• –  The seat of our will and choices.
• –  Our hidden or “inner” life.
